I was happily surprised to see one of my past Aspen wedding couples featured in the April issue of Food & Wine magazine. I have many fond memories of Jordan and Robert, not only on their wedding day, but also during their engagement session in New York City. My husband and I met them at their gorgeous apartment for the session where we started inside and then went outside in the pouring rain. I remember calling them that morning to see if they wanted to reschedule, but they were totally happy with going in the rain. We went to their restaurant, Cru, and many of their favorite locations in the City. One was a restaurant where they met. I wish I could remember the name of it, it was so unique and incredible. They treated us to the most memorable lunch of our lives, so much fun! We still talk about it now then and its been 5 years.
The wedding was held at the John Denver Park and the reception was at the Art Museum adjacent to the park. The celebration was all about the couple sharing their best day with friends and family, incredible atmosphere, the best food – prepared by Chef Ryan Hardy who at the time was with The Little Nell’s Montagna Restaurant and is now a partner of the new restaurant as described in the Food & Wine article below and of course the best wine to compliment each course. If you are ever in Manhattan, I hope you will stop by their new restaurant Charlie Bird.
