Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine – Vintage Bridal Fashion Shoot

The Hotel Colorado is the perfect place for a Vintage style wedding. When asked by Rocky Mountain Bride to photograph a shoot for their magazine, I immediately said yes, I love the historical richness at this hotel. I’ll never forget one wedding that I photographed there, everyone was dressed from the early 1900s, including the guests.

Before we moved to the area, we stayed at the Hotel Colorado to really get a feel for Glenwood Springs, to check out the different neighborhoods and to house shop. I loved the hotel, really unique and so close to all of the great restaurants in town, the hot springs is just across the street, as well as the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers.

Some say the hotel is haunted, luckily we never saw or heard any ghosts : ) …

Boy, oh boy do we have a treat for you on this Monday morning! With all this rain, we felt as if we needed a bit of a ‘pick me up’ and perhaps, a slight change in the weather. . . and no, this is not a styled shoot, nor a feature from Martha Stewart weddings, this beautiful Aspen, Colorado wedding is the actual real wedding of Arkansans, Katie Fortenberry and Hamilton Peek!!! These two opted for a very simple (just the two of them. . .sighhhh), yet dramatic dreamscape destination wedding. The backdrop is simply unbeatable, the romance wonderfully over the top and the photos are just jaw-dropping.
