Aspen Wedding in June
Wow, I am already having the best wedding season ever!!! Wedding season in Aspen Colorado officially starts the first week of June, I have already photographed a handful of weddings, some started Memorial weekend, which was wonderful because the weather was warm and every where you look is beautiful vibrant green, with pops of color from all of the flowers in full bloom. The couples I have had the pleasure of photographing this season have really touched my heart. I am overwhelmed by all of the love and passion that surrounds each wedding couple, it really helps me connect with my subjects and create photos that are meaningful. One recent toast from a Mother of the Bride, made me and everyone else in the room cry. She said to her daughter, “It really makes a mom happy when you know your child is marrying someone that loves them just as much as you do.” Today I am featuring a wedding from June 2nd. I met Jenn and Mike a year ago, when they came to Aspen to plan their wedding, we met at the Limelight. I immediately felt a connection with them as if we had been friends for years. I was thrilled when they chose me as their wedding photographer! Their wedding was really touching, they were so gracious, and kind to everyone, they were so attentive to each other. You could see the excitement they experienced about every detail, all of their plans that came to life. I remember when they walked in their wedding tent and said to Jason Burns, of DL Event Planning, “OMG Jason, its just like a magazine! Its exactly like we imagined it to be!” The wedding ceremony was held at the Aspen Historical Society – Wheeler/Stallard museum This was my first time photographing at this venue and I was really excited, because its gorgeous and in the heart of downtown Aspen!
